Show what it would cost to build the product yourself
A table prices every ingredient at the same dose if bought separately, with a total, so the product's price is judged against the DIY alternative.

What it is
Under "Here's What it Would Actually Cost to Build Your Own" and the line "We did the math", a table lists every ingredient with what it would cost to source separately at the same clinical dose, the dose itself and what it does, ending in a total. A sticky bar keeps the product's own price and add-to-cart in view.
Why it works
A premium price is judged against something. Without a reference, the shopper compares it to the cheapest bottle on the shelf; this table sets the reference to the honest alternative, buying each ingredient yourself. The itemised costs make it evidence rather than an assertion, as long as the numbers are real and current.
How to test it
- Hypothesis
- Adding a cost-to-build-it-yourself table will lift add-to-cart rate for a premium-priced product by reframing the price against the DIY alternative.
- Primary metric
- Add-to-cart rate (product page sessions)
- Guardrail metric
- Price-related support contacts and refund reasons
