Put the full subscription terms inside the selected plan card

The preselected refill plan states the exact charge and frequency in one sentence ("You will be charged $22 every 3 months"), right where the choice is made.

A preselected Refill Plan card with a Save 8% tab, a sentence stating the refill charge and frequency, and ticked how-it-works lines above a one-time purchase option

What it is

The refill plan card is preselected with a "Save 8%" tab and states, in a full sentence inside the card, what will happen: you will be charged $22 for a whitening strip refill every 3 months. Ticked "How it works" lines follow (free shipping on the first subscription order, pause, modify or cancel with ease, credits back over time), with the one-time purchase as a separate card beneath.

Why it works

Subscription hesitation is mostly fear of an unexpected charge. A sentence that names the amount and the interval removes the guesswork at the moment of choosing, which is also what consumer-protection rules in markets like the EU expect. Clear terms up front cost little conversion and save a lot of chargebacks and angry cancellations later.

How to test it

Hypothesis
Stating the exact recurring charge and frequency inside the selected plan card will keep subscription take rate flat or higher while reducing early cancellations and disputes.
Primary metric
Subscription share of orders
Guardrail metric
Chargeback and first-cycle cancellation rate
