CRO Strategist
Own the experimentation roadmap. Turn research and revenue data into testable hypotheses, and prove the lift that moves our clients’ bottom line.
You design the test, not just run it.
At cazyweb we run conversion programs for leading DTC and e-commerce brands across the US and Europe. As a CRO Strategist you sit at the centre of that program: you read the data, decide what is worth testing, write the hypotheses, and stand behind the result.
This is a strategy and analysis seat, not a design or dev seat. You will partner with CRO designers, A/B test developers, and data analysts to ship a steady cadence of experiments. We bill several engagements on the uplift we actually create, so your hypotheses carry real weight and your wins are measured in revenue, not vanity metrics.
Run a research-led experimentation program end to end.
- Build and prioritise the roadmap. Maintain a ranked test backlog (PIE / ICE) per client, balancing quick wins against high-leverage bets.
- Write sharp hypotheses. Translate qualitative and quantitative research into clear "we believe / because / we will know" statements with a defined primary metric.
- Mine the data for opportunities. Use analytics, heatmaps, session replay and survey data to find friction and frame the next test.
- Design the experiment. Define variants, audiences, exposure, sample size and run-time with the test developer and CRO designer.
- Own statistical rigour. Set significance thresholds, watch for peeking and novelty effects, and call tests honestly: win, loss, or inconclusive.
- Report the impact. Turn results into clean post-test readouts and tie wins to projected annual revenue and our performance billing.
- Run the QBR narrative. Present the program story to clients: what we learned, what we will test next, and why.
- Compound the learnings. Feed every result into a shared insight library so the whole bench tests smarter over time.
A repeatable loop, every sprint.
Research & frame
Heuristic review, analytics deep-dives, session replay and voice-of-customer to surface the highest-friction moments.
Hypothesise & build
Write the hypothesis, scope the variant with design and dev, and define the metric, audience and sample size up front.
Test & call
Ship the experiment, monitor for significance, and call it cleanly, then translate the lift into projected revenue.
The fundamentals we are looking for.
If you have run real experimentation programs and can defend a call with statistics, we want to talk, regardless of where your degree is from.
- 3+ years in CRO / experimentation, ideally agency-side or in-house at a DTC/e-commerce brand.
- Fluent in experiment statistics: significance, power, sample size, sequential testing pitfalls.
- Hands-on with a major testing platform and comfortable reading GA4 / analytics to source ideas.
- You write a clean hypothesis and can explain why a test won or lost in plain language.
- Comfortable client-facing, presenting results and defending the roadmap.
- Bias for evidence over opinion, and intellectually honest about losses.
Know a few of these well, not all of them.

Nice to have
We run a deep Intelligems integration for Shopify price and offer testing, so familiarity there is a real plus.
Your work shows up on the invoice.
We are a global, distributed creative and CRO studio. Several of our engagements are billed on a share of the uplift we generate, so strong strategists here are not a cost centre, they are how we get paid.
Think you can move the number?
The application takes about three minutes. Pick the CRO Strategist role, tell us about a test win you are proud of (metric + lift), and you are on the bench.
